CV in a Box

A CV packaged like old software. Completely unnecessary, took far longer than writing a CV. I wanted to know whether something people pick up beats something people skim.

Box format
Big-box PC game, the size software used to come in. Underneath it is a cereal box with printed panels glued on, then shrink-wrapped.
Artwork
Drawn in Inkscape, modelled on an old Windows 95 box. Open source tools for a box pretending to be shrink-wrapped commercial software.
Print process
Photo paper on a refillable-tank Canon inkjet, which is both cheaper and better than cartridges. Colours came out right first time.

The printed CV. Plus a fake serial number and a fake hologram seal (so you know it's real).

Depends how much you value your time.

Did it work

The one box went to one company, registered post, and I never heard back. So: yes - I don't want to work for a company that wouldn't respond to this.

What I would change

It was a one-off and I am not sure I would repeat it. If I did, I would send more than one, and I would aim it at somewhere more likely to open the box.
